Troubles will come

Each one of us at one time or another go through some sort of situation. In fact, situations are going to happen all through our life. The question is how do we handle the situation. There have been plenty of times in my life where I have tried to handle a situation myself verses allowing God to handle it. It is funny how many times we try to handle thing on our own and then wonder why the issues or situations get worse and become stressful.

Psalm 107:27-30

27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man,
And are at their wits’ end.
28 Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble,
And He brings them out of their distresses.
29 He calms the storm,
So that its waves are still.
30 Then they are glad because they are quiet;
So He guides them to their desired haven.

We see in the beginning of this passage that the people are at there wits ends. How many times have you had to get to that point before you call out to the Lord. Then however they stopped and cried out to the Lord and He takes care of there problems. The amazing thing is just like God took of their issues in Psalm 107 He will also take care of ours.

Here is all we have to do, when issues, situations, or troubles whatever you want to call them God is our answer.

1 Peter 5:6-8

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because[a] your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Make no mistake just as scripture says, our enemy the devil does not want us to live a peaceful life. When we allow the situation to get the best of us then the enemy has us exactly where he wants us. We do not have live a life of stress and worry. If we do what 1 Peter says we can walk victorious. God loves us and He will take care of us if we will just humble ourselves and allow God to take care of situations. Allow God to work on your behalf.

  1. Tracy-
You are dead on. The key is humbling ourselves. By acknowledging that we are not really “ours” but “His”, we are free to allow Him to handle the situation. Good Word!

  2. Tracy,
This is so good…Thanks for the encouragement
I think as Christian we forget the fact that God has a plan for us, if we just get into the Book (Bible) we will discover that plan. We must submit to His plan and our plans will succeed. I have leaned over the years, we must allow God to be the Leader in our lives and if we do so, we will be able to handle the adversities. Great Word!
