Veterans Day

I have the honor of being the daughter of one who served in the military.

I have the honor of being the wife of a wonderful man who served in the military.

I had the honor of being the Granddaughter of a man who served in the military.

Today is the a day we honor our veterans. There have been those who gave their live and others who served willing to give their lives.

Two years ago my son went to France while there the group went to the D-Day Beaches. When I asked him what he thought about it, he said that seeing the beaches and graves gave him a higher sense of patriotism. He also commented on its beauty, he says that it is almost a contradiction. You look and see how beautiful it is now compared to devastation that occurred so many years ago. Like Stefan when he looked on the beaches and at the graves let us not forget that there have been those who have fought for our freedom.

As go through today and really everyday be thankful for the men, and women who serve.

I would personally like to say thank you to all who have served and for those who are serving. May God protect you and watch over you.
